This Privacy Policy outlines how Textract collects, uses, and protects your data when you use our mobile application and services to digitize, transcribe, and store your handwritten notes.

To provide our AI-powered features, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account (via Email, Google, or Apple Sign-In), we collect your name, email address, and profile picture. Guest users' data is stored locally on the device until an account is secured.
• Content Information: This includes the images of notes you scan or upload and the transcribed text generated by our AI.
• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app, such as feature usage, coin transactions, and crash reports to help us improve the service.

2. App Permissions

Textract requires certain permissions to function correctly:

• Camera: Used to scan your handwritten notes directly within the app using AI edge detection.
• Photos/Media Library: Used to import existing images of notes from your gallery for digitization.
• Internet Access: Required for cloud synchronization, AI processing (digitization), and managing your coin balance.
• Notifications: (Optional) Used to alert you when your AI processing is complete or for important account updates.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• AI Transcription: Processing your images to convert handwriting into searchable digital text.
• Synchronization: Syncing your "Digital Brain" across devices so your notes are always accessible.
• Service Improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to enhance our OCR accuracy and user interface.
• Monetization: Managing coin balances, in-app purchases, and reward-based advertisements.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your privacy is our priority. Your notes and transcriptions are stored securely using Google Firebase and are only accessible through your authenticated account. We do not use your personal notes to train our base AI models without your explicit consent.

Local data is stored using high-performance local databases on your device for offline access.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to power certain app features:

• Firebase: For authentication, database storage, and cloud functions.
• AI Providers: To provide advanced AI transcription and analysis.
• Billing Services: To process in-app purchases securely.
• Ad Networks: To serve advertisements for free coin rewards.

6. User Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. You can delete individual notes, folders, or your entire account directly through the app settings. Deleting your account will permanently remove all your stored notes and processed data from our servers.

Textract is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with data, we will take steps to delete it immediately.
